Pickleball and The Grand Old 4th of July Celebration.

BIP wants to participate in the Grand Old 4th of July celebration. BI Chamber is having a Family Fun Zone that will be located on a closed Brien Street by the senior center and the rowing center.

BIP is proposing to have a number of booths with kid and adult games, all involving pickleballs. We are calling it the Pickleball Fun Zone.

We will also be selling our merchandise and giving visitors a chance for a selfie in a giant pickleball and paddle.

All of this is a fundraiser for the lower court conversation. There are 18,000 people that attend the 4th of July celebration. BIP has a great location that should see lots of traffic. We have the opportunity to make $3,000 to $5,000 for a day’s effort.

But to make this happen we need volunteers! We are looking for 24 people to work a 4-hour shift, from 9:30am to 1:30pm or 1:30pm to 5:30pm on July 4. Besides yourself, you can invite your friends, neighbors, high school or college age youth or anyone else what would want to help out. It should be a fun day.

We need our volunteers to commit in the next 10 days as we have to pay the booth cost by May 15. We don’t want to commit to the fee unless we know we have the volunteers to pull this off.
